Although here in the south of Europe it is almost summer ....in Antarctica the winter has already come ...The penguins have left since mid of April ...but the cams work to show us the hard weather conditions of the Antarctican winter ...

The wet cold weather maybe was the main reason of the death of the most chicks in the nest ..This afternoon three of them looked fine and mother worked hard to feed them ..I couldn't understand the automatic translation on the home page ..so i can't give you more info ...I'm not sure if the male still visits the nest or disappeared
