Arctic Tern ?

Not easy to catch those pics ...They come from the new view of the seal cam ..I 've just wondered what species they are ..Sterna paradisaea ? At the second pic you can see a white streak that separates the face from the black crown ..at my old Collins book ..it is a feature never seen in the common

I think you are right! A long tail.The red beak and feet are not seen in pics. It is going a large migration time just now with arcic birds so this one might continue to north or a part is also nesting in archipelago. They are coming from South Africa or Antarctica! Good snaps! katip

Thank you Katip...I think they nest on the stones of the shore ..My book also said that Arctic terns prefer rocky shores ...The others prefer more sandy beaches
